Creating the perfect setting for a stage production of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s musical Into the Woods can be challenging with the amount of foliage necessary to create fantastic forest scenery. It’s a good thing that Grosh Digital has a full collection of projected backdrops specifically for this show.

We have projected images depicting cottages in forests, evergreen forests, forests at nighttime, and even enchanted-looking forests.

Into the Woods debuted in San Diego in 1986 and premiered on Broadway in 1987. This unique musical interweaves elements from classic fairy tales, including Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, Cinderella, and Rapunzel, to create a fascinating original tale about a baker and his wife. In the musical, the couple goes on a quest to fulfill a scavenger hunt for a wicked witch.

The sorceress promised to lift the curse that had left the couple childless only if they brought her four magical things: a cape as red as blood, a strand of hair as yellow as corn, a slipper as pure as gold, and a cow as white as snow. But could these items really break the spell and give the baker and his wife the happy ending that they are yearning for?
