Mamma Mia! is centered on 20-year-old Sophie, her upcoming wedding to Sky, and her wish to be walked down the aisle by her biological father. She discovers three possible fathers and invites them all to the Greek island of Kalokairi for the wedding. Meanwhile, Sophie’s mother Donna finds old feelings resurfacing when she sees her former lovers on the island.
Notable for featuring songs of the Swedish pop group ABBA, the unforgettable jukebox musical Mamma Mia! has charmed countless audiences after its first West End staging in 1999. Since then, not a year has passed without a professional staging or a tour of the musical. In 2008, the musical was adapted into a film starring Meryl Streep as Donna and Amanda Seyfried as Sophie.
